Earlier this year, Yadilena M. joined the RTS staff as a program coordinator. She is originally from Los Angeles, and a recent graduate of UCLA (Go Bruins!). Yadilena has a special connection with the mission of Ready to Succeed because not only is she a first-generation college student, she is also an RTS alum!

Yadilena understands what many of our Scholars experience first hand, and shared that one of her biggest challenges during college was imposter syndrome and self-doubt. When she came to RTS as a student, she discovered a network of caring individuals willing to help her every step of her journey.

Here’s the advice Yadilena offers to current Scholars: “Things may seem impossible right now, but you will get through it! Take advantage of all of the resources and help that Ready to Succeed has to offer because they are ultimately rooting for your success!”

Because of your support Scholars just like Yadilena can reach their full potential and can give back to others. They just need someone to believe in them so they can believe in themselves.
