5 Years of RTS and NCYL
It is no secret that at Ready to Succeed, relationships mean everything. Your support has helped build and nurture countless connections. Not only that, you’ve helped forge strong professional partnerships. This year, RTS celebrates 5 years of collaboration with the National Center for Youth Law (NCYL) through the McCabe Impact Fellowship.
NCYL is a youth-centered organization. Their mission is to “transform our nation’s approach to education, health, immigration, foster care, and youth justice.” Each year, NCYL hosts a Ready to Succeed Scholar as a part of the Impact Fellowship. And fellowships and internships, as we know, are the stepping stones to fulfilling careers.
Impact Fellows gain valuable work experience and contribute to NCYL’s incredible mission. Over the past 5 years, 6 RTS Scholars have completed fellowships opportunities at NCYL with one offered a full time position! They’ve helped to do some great things!
This past summer, RTS Scholar Georgette completed a Health and Reproductive Justice fellowship. She gained invaluable insights into nonprofit management and tangible on-the-job skills. Georgette is on track to graduate this summer. Now, she feels even more confident about her future career. For Georgette, “RTS is like a path. [Y]ou take one step, and the next step leads you to another step. And all those steps lead to success.” Thanks to you and NCYL, Georgette is one step closer to her dream of a fulfilling career at a mission based organization.
