Event Recap: Deal or No Deal

Every month your generosity makes RTS workshops possible. At the “Making the Right Decision” workshop on February 23, RTS scholars learned about how to make important professional decisions and how to advocate for themselves in order to be set up for long-term success.

A small panel of volunteers and RTS alumni discussed their approaches to making important decisions. They spoke about the importance of company culture, potential for collaboration, and opportunities for growth when evaluating a new professional offer. This panel included four of our champion volunteers -Samantha Scott, Mix Pearson, Karen Van Kirk, and Nico Mirgoli.

At the beginning of the event many scholars admitted that they were apprehensive when making important decisions about their professional lives. After hearing from our amazing panel of volunteers and RTS advisors, scholars shared that they felt empowered to make the best decisions for themselves. This is all thanks to you.
