RTS Scholar Spotlight: Fatima

Fatima is currently a senior at the University of California, Irvine. Starting college, she looked around and felt she did not belong. The lack of diversity and community made her feel ”lost and scared of failure” in a place where she is meant to succeed.

That is where you came in. Now that Fatima is a part of RTS, Fatima could not be more thankful for the community and support she receives. Working with her career and employment advisors, Fatima feels confident to pursue new opportunities including her internship with Remarkably Us. At this nonprofit whose mission is to empower former latina foster youth, Fatima has been able to develop digital marketing skills as a social media coordinator.

Fatima dreams of a career in the entertainment and music industry. With your help, she met people in entertainment and gained practical experience for her future job. Now, her dream is one step closer to becoming a reality.
