In December, because of your generosity, RTS hosted a night of gingerbread building and gift giving. Many Scholars, who may not have a family to celebrate with, will always have a RTS network of caring people all year round.

While Scholars built gingerbread houses, and even a few gingerbread stadiums, they were also building social networks that will help them feel more secure and able to weather the challenges of college and career searching.

RTS Alum Kristina C. shared, “When you have a foster care background there are many people who come in and out of your life. At RTS you can always count on consistent support, and you always feel welcome.”  Thanks to you, Scholars had a festive evening, and were able to share pizza and personal stories.  You are helping to create lifelong connections, friendships and opportunities for former foster youth and first-generation college students.
