Celebrating the Pat McCabe Summer of Service Scholars
Every summer, RTS Scholars interested in working for nonprofits, foundations, and social service based organizations participate in the Pat McCabe Summer of Service Fellowship program. This program matches Scholars with top Los Angeles area nonprofits and places them in paid internships for the summer. Through their internships RTS Scholars develop their professional skill set and contribute to the missions of these organizations.
This year’s Pat McCabe Summer of Service Fellowship cohort put their skills to the test in a pitch contest judged by their host site supervisors. At this event, students shared passionate presentations about climate change, early childhood education, youth justice, and more. Beth Ryan from Stepping Forward LA, one of this summer’s host sites, remarked, “I am so incredibly proud. There is not a more impressive group of young adults that we have had the pleasure of working with.” This would not have been possible without supporters like you.
